    The Call & Post was founded in 1916 by Cleveland inventor Garrett Morgan. In 1929, it merged with the Cleveland Post to become the Call & Post Newspaper. Under the leadership of editor & publisher W.O. Walker in 1932, the Call & Post became the most influential voice for African Americans in metropolitan regions throughout Ohio.
