AELIZA’s philosophy is rooted in introspection, embracing the mirror held up to ourselves. For its latest release, “Case Study 4: Your Life,” the London-based label continues that ethos, going against the societal archetypes that make us conform.Stand-out pieces include a technical jacket with the brand’s signature blue accents, a translucent bomber, a football jersey, an irregular polka dot jumper as well as sweaters with the words “HEAL” and “LIE” (highlighted by rearranging the brand name) modelled by artist Sam Wise in the lookbook.Rounding off the collection, AELIZA teased what seems to be its debut foray into footwear. Models are seen sporting an all-black silhouette with glossy heel logos, metallic cushion unit, and the brand’s signature computer-code text — inspired by its namesake pioneering chatbot from 1966 — across the tongue in a reflective print.Speaking on the collection’s inspiration, founder and creative director Jack Harper says, “Your Life is about reclaiming ownership of the self. Society will always offer archetypes to fit into, but they are not your life until you claim them as your own, or reject them entirely.”Earlier this month, AELIZA hosted its inaugural North American pop-up in New York. As well as showcasing the “Case Study 4: Your Life” drop, the brand also teamed up with Japanese imprint MUHAKU for the pair’s first-ever physical activation together. Fusing the latter’s high-quality garment craftsmanship with AELIZA’s design-led ethos, they launched a selection of exclusive pieces with a range of graphic updates.Check out the full lookbook in the gallery above.
