What arrives is recognizably a "Raymond" in silhouette and intent, but the construction underneath has been comprehensively rerouted.The most significant change is the shell fabric. Where A.P.C.'s standard "Raymond" typically uses cotton or cotton-blend materials consistent with the label's Parisian minimalist register, the relume version replaces the shell entirely with a ripstop woven from 85% nylon and 15% polyurethane. That blend gives the fabric a grid-reinforced tear resistance from the nylon component and a degree of stretch from the polyurethane. Layered over the weave is a resin film coating, a synthetic treatment applied to the face of the fabric that adds a level of water and wind resistance while giving the surface a matte, non-reflective finish.
