I've driven the new Ferrari Amalfi Spider — Ferrari's 631bhp V8 convertible and the car where Ferrari admitted the touchscreen era was a mistake. Physical buttons are back, the hybrid is nowhere, and I flew to Greece to find out whether the most divisive Ferrari redesign in years works in the metal. The Amalfi Spider replaces the Roma Spider. Official Ferrari figures: 3.9L twin-turbo V8, 640cv (631bhp) at 7,500rpm, 760Nm, 0-62mph in 3.3s, 0-124mph in 9.4s, 199mph flat out, 1,556kg dry with a 48/52 weight split — and a 5-layer soft top that opens in 13.5 seconds at up to 60km/h. Price from ~£210k before options. Ferrari covered flights and accommodation for this launch event. No money changed hands, no copy approval — all opinions mine.
