Grand Seiko has introduced the SBGA527 Spring Drive Limited Edition, created exclusively for Ben Bridge Jeweler’s two Honolulu boutiques. The timepiece draws poetic inspiration from the Pacific Ocean, celebrating the "Goodwill Beach City Relationship" established between the white-sand shores of Shirarahama in Wakayama, Japan and Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. Its deep blue dial reflects the clarity of Shirarahama’s coastal waters, detailed with hand-applied diamond-cut markers and faceted hands that play with incoming light. Styled after the iconic 1967 62GS design, the 40mm case and matching bracelet are crafted from lightweight, scratch-resistant High-Intensity Titanium and finished with distortion-free Zaratsu polishing.Underneath a box-shaped sapphire crystal, the timepiece is powered by Grand Seiko's in-house Spring Drive Caliber 9R65. The automatic movement offers a 72-hour power reserve, 100 meters of water resistance, and an average accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Its signature seconds hand glides continuously across the dial, capturing the uninterrupted flow of time and the natural rhythm of ocean tides. Limited to just 50 pieces, the Honolulu-exclusive Grand Seiko SBGA527 retails for $7,600 USD and is available only at Ben Bridge’s Ala Moana Center and Kalakaua Avenue Grand Seiko Boutiques in Honolulu.
