Applicants who took part in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment exercise can now verify their application status online via the official recruitment portal.

The exercise covers recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

Successful candidates will be able to access a personalised dashboard after logging in to the portal.

How to check your CDCFIB recruitment status

Applicants are required to visit the official portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and log in using their National Identification Number (NIN) and the phone number used during registration.

Those who have been shortlisted will be directed to a “Congratulations” page after signing in.

    Accessing your dashboard

From the congratulations page, candidates are expected to click the provided link or arrow to enter their dashboard.

The dashboard displays key personal details submitted during registration, including passport photograph, full name, NIN, state of origin, and other application information.

Applicants who do not see their passport photograph are required to upload one before continuing.

    Passport upload requirements

Candidates must upload a clear passport photograph with a white background, ensuring it meets the required size and format on the portal.

Incorrect or unclear images may affect the application process.

    Educational details submission

Applicants are required to provide accurate secondary school information, including the school name, local government area, and state.

For WAEC or equivalent results, candidates must input grades exactly as they appear on their certificates, as falsified details may lead to disqualification.

Those with higher qualifications are expected to include their tertiary institution name, location, and class of degree or certificate obtained.

    CBT examination scheduling

Applicants will also select a preferred date and time for their Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Candidates are advised to choose a convenient slot and log in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time to avoid missing the exam or automatic submission issues.

    Examination preparation guidelines

Applicants should ensure stable internet access, reliable electricity, a fully charged device, and a quiet environment before the test.

It is also recommended that candidates test their devices ahead of the examination date.

    Important notice to applicants

Candidates are strongly advised to use only the official CDCFIB portal and avoid individuals or platforms requesting payment for recruitment assistance.

They should carefully review all entries before final submission, as inconsistencies in personal or academic details may lead to disqualification.

Applicants are also encouraged to save screenshots of their submissions and dashboard information for future verification.
