    Businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has announced plans to independently monitor the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election through a large-scale livestreaming initiative.

    Speaking ahead of the election, Fayose said he intends to recruit 1,000 volunteers who will be stationed across different polling units in the state.

    According to him, each volunteer will be paid ₦5,000 to use their mobile phones or recording devices to livestream activities from their assigned locations.

    He explained that the objective is to promote transparency and allow the public to observe the conduct of the election in real time.

    Fayose stated that the initiative would help identify incidents of vote-buying and expose any alleged electoral malpractice involving election officials or other participants in the process.

    His words in part …

    “I will livestream the Ekiti State governorship election so the whole world can see how the election is conducted in my state. I need 1,000 volunteers, and I will pay each of them ₦5,000. They will use their phones to stream the election or put-on this gadget on the screen from diff. polling units so we can identify vote-buying and expose any electoral målpractice involving INEC officials or NYSC members.”
