Kai Cenat officially opened applications for the second edition of Streamer University last week, marking his return to content creation following a hiatus that began last October. He announced the news with a Harry Potter-inspired trailer that garnered nearly 3 million likes on Instagram.

After months away building his fashion brand Vivet, Cenat is back to teach up-and-coming talent how to succeed in the world of content creation.

Kai Cenat: From a 30-day Mafiathon to Vivet

Cenat officially started his streaming career in 2021 and has been breaking records and pioneering innovative concepts ever since. His latest streaming marathon broadcast, titled Mafiathon 3, consisted of 30 days of nonstop streaming by the 24-year-old. During the event in late 2025, Cenat broke his own record, once again becoming the most-subscribed Twitch streamer in history with over 1 million active subscribers

Mafiathon 3 was succeeded by an extended Twitch hiatus from Cenat. He sparked panic among his fans when he uploaded a YouTube video titled “I Quit” in January this year. The cryptic title signaled Cenat’s new direction: rather than quitting YouTube or streaming, he was determined to expand his brand and stop playing it small. The content creator announced that he was launching Vivet, a luxury fashion label.

Cenat developed the Vivet fashion brand after a trip to Italy, where he learned to sew. “This is the first time I’ve had a passion for something besides content creation,” Cenat explained

He emphasized that the venture represents genuine passion rather than a cash grab. Cenat was deliberate in choosing Italian production facilities to signal his intent to compete with established fashion houses.

Since announcing his pivot into luxury fashion, Cenat has been uploading to a second YouTube channel called Kai’s Mind. There, he has been sharing videos of himself working out, reading to improve his vocabulary, and learning to sew, all as part of a broader effort to reinvent himself and push beyond the boundaries of streaming.

Now, he is returning to one of his most successful projects yet.

    Edition One of Streamer University

In 2025, Kai Cenat launched the inaugural edition of Streamer University. What started as a casual idea during a live stream became the most popular creator education event in history. The demand was immediate and overwhelming. When applications opened, over one million submissions came in within minutes, crashing the portal. Ultimately, over 120 streamers made the cut.

The event featured a diverse curriculum, with courses covering topics like acting, production, and business management. Professors included renowned names such as DDG, who taught Internet Beef 101; Emily “ExtraEmily” Zhang, who taught Science; and India Love Westbrooks, who taught Love & Relationships.

The viewership numbers were just as impressive. Streamer University 2025 closed with a total of 23 million hours watched. Even more, it won the Best Streamed Event award at the Streamer Awards 2025.

    How to Apply This Year

Details regarding the 2026 campus location, enrollment size, and official start date have not yet been announced. But applicants can apply by visiting streameruniversity.com and filling out the application form as a student, professor, or club director. Students are aspiring or growing content creators looking to improve their skills. Professors are creators with expertise in specific content categories who want to teach and mentor participants. Club directors are experienced streamers who lead clubs and organize activities.

The selection process focuses on passion, creativity, and potential rather than follower counts. Applicants must submit a video between one and three minutes long that highlights their personality, content style, and reasons for wanting to attend.

Cenat built his audience and his brand without any formal training or support. Streamer University is his way of passing on his knowledge to the next generation of streamers.
