The move signals a concerted effort to build a new category of AI-enabled wearables that seamlessly integrate into everyday life.Internal testing for the pendant, referred to as dogfooding, is scheduled to begin in spring 2027. Beyond the pendant, the leaked memo details plans for a significant expansion of the smart glasses portfolio. New additions will include supersensing models designed to keep cameras and sensors active for extended periods. This constant environmental tracking allows the artificial intelligence to remember misplaced items or suggest daily tasks. The brand currently partners with EssilorLuxottica for Ray-Ban and Oakley frames, but the roadmap suggests bringing additional eyewear labels into the fold to reach a broader audience and improve gross margins.To support the hardware ecosystem, Meta is introducing a dedicated enterprise service called Wearables for Work. This subscription-based model targets corporate customers willing to pay a premium for industry-specific features.
