    Mojang Studios has officially announced that Minecraft is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27, 2026. The launch brings the best-selling video game of all time to Nintendo’s next-generation console with upgraded visual features built specifically for the new hardware.By default, the Switch 2 edition will enable Vibrant Visuals, an enhanced graphics mode previously released by Mojang Studios that incorporates directional lighting, volumetric fog, and detailed shadows. Nintendo's platform-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up pack will also receive the Vibrant Visuals treatment, though the graphics boost will not be available during split-screen play, certain game modes, or select Marketplace Worlds.While Mojang Studios has yet to confirm whether the title will support Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for precise building, current Nintendo Switch owners will be offered an official upgrade path, with further details expected closer to launch.
