    ‎A female lawyer has shared details of how a deceased lawyer was honoured during a court session.

    ‎In the now-viral TikTok video, the female lawyer disclosed it was customary to honor a deceased lawyer in Nigeria’s legal system.

    ‎According to the legal practitioner, families and close associates of the deceased are not exempted from the one-hour court session.

    ‎However, the deceased’s biography was read out alongside achievements and impact on the legal profession, thereby concluding the court session.

    ‎The session was presided by the Chief Judge, who could appoint another judge in his absence.
