A man’s remarks about Peter Obi and Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a podcast appearance have triggered widespread reactions across social media platforms.

In the now-viral clip, the speaker questioned Obi’s leadership ability, arguing that the former Anambra State governor lacks the charisma and competence to lead a large nation like Nigeria.

    Criticism of Obi’s Leadership

The man said, “Peter Obi does not have the charisma. He does not have the leadership skills to lead a country of 250 million people. It’s absolutely not there.”

He also criticised Obi’s political movements, adding, “He has shown his empathy moving from one party to the other. A crisis happens in a party, you shaking out.”

During the discussion, the interviewer challenged the claim by referencing Tinubu’s own political history.

However, the speaker responded, “Tinubu has only moved from one party to the other.”

    Social Media Reactions Pour In

Following the podcast, Nigerians took to social media to share mixed reactions, with many either defending Obi or supporting the criticism.

TG Ogunlere wrote, “Please you guys should stop bringing Olodo to come argue with this guy oh! This Idris guy here is not just an Obi supporter oh! This guy na intellectual. Even Daniel Bwala can’t stand him.”

Emmanuel expressed concerns about future elections, stating, “Wetin Dey vex me be say Tinubu go definitely win come 2027.. and Peter Obi will just allow it to slide.. but this time around we no go gree at all.”

Dofftech argued in favour of Obi’s qualifications, saying, “If Tinubu can be Nigerian president then, Peter Obi who has managed so many corporate organizations and institutions is more than qualified… you can check his CV.”

Another user, Drizzy, questioned the criticism, writing, “So Tinubu has leadership skills? When we talk about leadership skills, Peter Obi should even rank higher than everyone else because he seems more educated, knowledgeable and intelligent than others.”

Joseph also weighed in, highlighting national concerns, “Their problem is Peter Obi when he is not even the President yet. What exactly are they scared of? Tinubu that’s the incumbent is not leading the 250m people. Killing, kidnapping and economic insecurity are on the rise.”
