    The Police Service Commission has scheduled a written examination for applicants seeking to enlist as police constables from April 28 to 30, 2026.

    Torty Njoku Kalu, the commission’s Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, announced in a statement on Thursday.

    According to the announcement, the exam would be held in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force at selected locations throughout the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    It stated that only candidates who completed the physical and credentials screenings will be able to take the exam.

    The commission recommended that qualified applicants log on to the recruiting portal beginning Friday, April 24, 2026, to print their examination invitation cards, which provide the date, time, and location of the test.

    “The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has scheduled a written test for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables (for both General Duty and Specialist applicants) from April 28 to 30, 2026. The drill will take place in selected locations throughout the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    “Only candidates who have passed the physical and credentials screenings are eligible. Qualified applicants should visit the official website beginning Friday, April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card, which will include the specific date, time, and location of their test,” the statement read.

    Candidates must bring a pen, their National Identification Number slip from the National Identity Management Commission, a clear photograph, and a printed copy of their examination invitation card to the examination centers, according to the announcement.

    The statement also stated the exercise’s clothing requirement as white shorts, a white T-shirt, and a white canvas.

    “On exam day, the following items are required:

    1. A pen

    2. A National Identification Number (NIN) Slip from NIMC (with a clear photograph).

    3. Printed Exam Invitation Card

    4. Dress Code: White shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas,” the statement said.

    The PSC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, stating, “The Police Service Commission reiterates that the recruitment process is entirely free and warns that any form of job racketeering, scams, or financial inducement will be met with the full force of the law.”

    The commission asked candidates to solely use official contact channels for updates on the exercise.
