A Nigerian lady has shared disturbing details of her mother’s kidnapping ordeal after the woman regained her freedom from her abductors in Ogun State.

In an earlier post reported by Gistreel, the lady revealed that the family received a distress call from her mother informing them that she had been kidnapped and that her abductors were demanding a ransom of N50 million for her release.

Speaking after her mother regained freedom, the lady recounted how the family first became aware of the full extent of the incident.

“After I got the call from my mom that she had been kidnapped and they needed ransom, I called my brothers. That was how we knew my younger brother had escaped and reported the incident,” she said.

According to her, her younger brother managed to escape from the kidnappers and subsequently reported the matter to the police.

She explained that although security operatives raided the area following the report, efforts to locate the victims were unsuccessful.

The family allegedly received advice to focus on raising ransom after attempts to track the kidnappers failed.

“The police later told us to go and look for ransom. They asked for food, recharge cards, bread, sardines and a N1 million transfer,” she claimed.

The lady further disclosed that the kidnappers demanded various supplies in addition to cash before agreeing to release her mother.

She also recounted the tragic story of another kidnapped woman whose family allegedly paid N28 million to secure her freedom, only for the victim and the person who delivered the ransom to be killed by the abductors.

Despite the traumatic experience, the family has expressed gratitude that their mother returned home alive and was reunited with her loved ones.
