    Monica Okafor Owuunaka, also known as Monique Pearls, was a renowned Nigerian content creator dies at the age of 30.

    The Abuja-based TikTok star, originally from Cross River State, was well-known for her passionate and relatable content about motherhood, caring, and family life.

    Monique rose to prominence on social media by posting films on everyday parenting experiences and family dynamics, which helped her build a dedicated following across digital platforms.

    A small girl named Precious, whom her family supposedly brought from the village, appeared frequently in her content. Their relationship became one of the most discussed aspects of her storytelling, with many fans applauding the love and honesty depicted in their videos.

    Her family reported her death in May 2026, leaving the Nigerian social media and content creation community in grief.

    She is survived by her husband and their kid, Lael. The cause of her death has not been made public.
