FC Porto are actively negotiating to reduce the fee required to secure Terem Moffi on a permanent deal ahead of the summer window.

The Nigerian striker joined Porto on loan from OGC Nice in January following tensions with supporters in France, and while his output has been modest, the club remains open to retaining him long term.

Porto seek discount on €8m valuation

Porto are keen to activate the purchase clause in Moffi’s loan agreement but are pushing to renegotiate the €8 million fee.

Modest returns but long-term interest remains

Moffi has registered two goals and one assist in 15 appearances since arriving at the Estádio do Dragão.

While those numbers fall below elite striker benchmarks, Porto’s interest suggests they still see upside in his profile, particularly within their system.

    Competition for starting role

If the deal goes through, Moffi is expected to compete with Samu Aghehowa and Deniz Gul for a starting berth next season.

    Decision timeline approaching

With the transfer window approaching, all parties are incentivised to reach clarity quickly. Porto want value, Nice want resolution, and Moffi needs stability to reset his career.
