A resident of Lagos Island has raised concerns over worsening living conditions in the area, particularly the lack of access to clean water.

In a video shared online, the woman described the situation as difficult, noting that many residents struggle daily despite the outward appearance of a comfortable lifestyle often associated with the location.

She explained that access to water has become a major challenge, forcing some households to rely on purchasing water regularly.

According to her, even drilling boreholes does not provide a reliable solution, as the water obtained is often salty and unsuitable for use.

She added that residents sometimes have to depend on sachet water or pay for truck supplies to meet their daily needs.

“We’re really suffering here on Lagos Island. Forget all these fake life, we are suffering and smiling here in Lagos Island. We don’t have water on Lagos Island. Sometimes I have to buy pure water. One truck of water is sold for 3k on Lagos Island. Lagos Island don’t have natural resources. If we dig borehole it’s salt water that will come out,” she lamented.
