Paramount+ has announced that Season 2 of Average Joe, starring Emmy-nominated actor Deon Cole, will debut on August 19. The eight-episode season launches with two episodes, followed by new episodes released weekly every Wednesday.

After earning strong reviews for its first season and becoming a breakout hit on BET+, the action-comedy thriller returns with even higher stakes. This season follows Joe Washington as he attempts to rebuild his life after the shocking events of Season 1. His plans are quickly disrupted when a new threat targeting his family leads him and his crew to Cape Town, South Africa.

As Joe and his allies search for answers, they become entangled in a dangerous web of crime, hidden secrets, and powerful enemies. Along the way, they must evade assassins, bounty hunters, and a growing list of threats that push them to their limits.

Returning cast members include Deon Cole, Malcolm Barrett, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, and Michael Trucco. New additions to the cast include Katlego Lebogang as Imani and Hakeem Kae-Kazim as Sipho, a formidable Cape Town crime boss.

Created by Robb Cullen, Average Joe is produced by Wonderland Sound and Vision and DAE Light Media in association with BET Studios.
