A man has shared a surprising encounter with a popular mama put food seller after what appeared to be a simple serving mistake turned into an unexpected discovery.

According to the man’s account, he visited the food vendor early in the morning to buy rice and beans with one piece of meat.

The woman, who was busy attending to her usual crowd of customers, mistakenly served him two pieces of meat. When he pointed out the extra piece, she told him not to worry and allowed him to keep it.

After eating at home and preparing for work, the man said he saw the food seller packing up around 8:00 a.m. As he walked past, she questioned him about never buying food from her before.

    Confusion takes an unexpected turn

The woman said, “You’ve never bought food from me before. Wetin I do you na?

The man explained that he had just bought food from her that morning and reminded her that she had even given him an extra piece of meat.

However, she insisted he was lying, maintaining that she could not have made such a mistake and was certain he had not purchased any food from her.

Moments later, the situation took an unexpected twist when the woman’s husband came outside and angrily confronted her for serving him only one piece of meat.

    Husband’s complaint reveals the mix-up

According to the account, the food seller immediately insisted she had served her husband two pieces of meat. She even described the colour of the food flask her daughter had used to deliver his meal.

It was only then that the man realised the flask she was describing was actually his own food flask, suggesting the vendor had mistakenly packed the husband’s meal for him during the busy morning rush.

The unusual story has since sparked amusement on social media, with many Nigerians saying the incident highlights the confusion that can arise when food vendors are overwhelmed by large numbers of customers.
