Love, Joy & Power: Tools for Liberation is a documentary from Emmy-winning director Daresha Kyi. It follows Black Voters Matter Fund co-founders Cliff Albright, April England-Albright, and LaTosha Brown as they ride the "Blackest Bus in America" across the country, organizing Black communities ahead of the 2020 election — through COVID-19, a national uprising for racial justice, and waves of voter suppression. That year, Black voters in Georgia made history — flipping the state and delivering two Senate seats that reshaped the country — and this film gives us a timely blueprint to do it again. Unlike most election-year films that center politicians and campaigns, this one centers the organizers — the people knocking on doors, building trust, and shaping culture. It's a roadmap for organizing and a reminder that ordinary people, united, still change history.
