The long-standing tension between The Game and fellow Compton artist Kendrick Lamar hasn’t really gotten much of an explanation. Fans have their theories, sure, but that’s all they had until a recent development on the 3rd Verse podcast. In fact, it seems like some shady comments from Game in Kendrick’s direction have also formed part of the drama.

The Documentary‘s creator allegedly took to Instagram to leave a mysterious comment under a video that allegedly criticized Lamar for supposedly not reciprocating Game’s career support. “At least one [ninja emoji] get it,” he allegedly wrote. “Fans & internet goofy’s will never get it. These [ninja emoji]’s aren’t who you think they are. One day I’m gone pull the curtain down so you can see every clown in they circus.”

As for the 3rd Verse podcast, hosts Justin Hunte and Stat Quo were discussing this feud, and Stat spoke on an alleged conversation he had with The Game. It’s about his Drake collaboration “100,” whose music video was in Compton.

“He didn’t know that Kendrick felt a way about that,” Stat remarked. “But he said in retrospect, he can see and understand it… But he said when Kendrick did Power, and they knew that 50 Cent was his arch-nemesis, he didn’t feel a way. He enjoyed it. So he was like, ‘I didn’t care that Kendrick did Power.'”

During the conversation, Top Dawg allegedly called Stat Quo to clarify Lamar and Game’s tension. It apparently didn’t come out of nowhere, and the lack of communication is due to the Drizzy collab.

“Dot didn’t just stop talking to [The Game] for no reason,” Stat claimed. “After that video that dude shot in Compton, that changed everything. The ‘100’ video… Top’s thing is like, ‘It don’t need to be perceived as Dot just stopped talking to Game out of nowhere.’ That was the thing that did it. He reminded me that some of the younger guys, when they shot that Jay Rock video, they went over to Game’s house to do that part. When he put that mask on, he said the label or somebody said he couldn’t show his face. But two weeks later, he did a Hurricane Chris video… When they shot that ‘100’ video in Compton, Top communicated that to Wack and Chuck, and I said that to both of them, too. So it wasn’t like the n***a ain’t know.”
