The Game just dropped his new album The Documentary 3, which shows how connected he is to Los Angeles and how much skill and passion he’s retained as a top MC. But it also led to a lot of debate due to a Drake feature, references to the Kendrick Lamar battle, and a whole lot of beef speculation regarding K.Dot. Now, after some words from the Compton rapper at his release party this weekend caught by DJ Akademiks on Instagram, fans have some more context directly from the artist himself.

“I put Kendrick in places that I wanted to be, that I wished n***as would’ve put me,” he expressed. “I didn’t ask for nothing in return… Top Dawg wanted to give me half of TDE…. So I got love for n***as… When this n***a Drake came in the game, he adapted to me. We got close. Drake is on my albums way back then… I don’t flip-flop on my friends.

“If Drake is in town and he got a show, and [my kids] want to go and I call him, the n***a put them where they want to be and all their friends and take care of them,” The Game shared concerning Drake and Kendrick Lamar. “I can’t turn my back on a n***a like that. And I don’t want a n***a that I helped usher into the game, like Kendrick and Top, I don’t want them n***as to feel a way about my decisions, about what I do as a real n***a. I was a real n***a to y’all, I’m a real n***a to him.”

“I caught fades with my own homies to take [Nipsey Hussle] on tour,” he added. “But I can’t seem to get in touch with Blacc Sam to holler at him. I don’t understand it. I put Kendrick on his first mixtape, I took Kendrick on tour, I showed Kendrick nothing but love. But I can’t get on the phone with him. I ain’t gon’ call the n***a every day, I ain’t no h*e. I’ma just let you know there ain’t no static so you hear it from my voice and n***as ain’t between us. Top Dawg, I can call on the phone… Dr. Dre, we got this weird brotherhood, but we know what it is…”

This follows Kendrick Lamar’s affiliates responding to The Game. Overall, it seems like Game just wants to show loyalty to his peers while not disrespecting any opponents caught in the middle. We’ll see if he gets in touch with Blacc Sam and K.Dot in the near future.
