Gabriel Jesus has cast doubt over his future at Arsenal, admitting he is open to a return to Brazil amid reduced playing time in North London.

The 29-year-old forward has struggled for consistency this season, starting just eight matches, with injuries and competition for places limiting his role under manager Mikel Arteta.

    Palmeiras return on the table

Jesus has openly expressed a desire to rejoin his boyhood club Palmeiras, where he began his professional career.

“My relationship with Palmeiras has always been very good and always will be – I have immense gratitude.

“My desire is to one day return to Palmeiras and win even more titles, because I’ve already experienced the taste of winning titles at Palmeiras.

“And it’s something that’s still within me, it’s a very strong desire.”

The Brazilian previously enjoyed success with Palmeiras before moving to Europe, and the club are reportedly interested in bringing him back for a second spell.

Gabriel Jesus hints uncertain Arsenal future

Despite his long-term affection for Palmeiras, Jesus maintained that his immediate focus remains on Arsenal, although he acknowledged a shift in his situation at the club.

“I have a contract with Arsenal. Obviously, my situation at Arsenal has changed from what it was before.

“But my main focus today remains Arsenal, making things happen here… and then, obviously, when the season is over, we’ll start thinking about it.”

With just one year left on his contract this summer, Arsenal are understood to be open to offers, positioning the player as a potential exit in the upcoming transfer window.

    Europe still an option

Beyond Brazil, Jesus has also attracted interest from AC Milan and Juventus following a recent agency switch to Giovanni Branchini.
