A video circulating widely on social media has sparked mixed reactions after a man was reportedly hospitalized for accidentally eating hair relaxer he allegedly mistook for ice cream.

According to reports accompanying the viral clip, the incident occurred after the man opened a refrigerator and found a small container labeled “Mizani Butter Blend.”

Believing it to be a tub of butter or ice cream, he reportedly consumed its contents.

However, while the container bears the name “Mizani Butter Blend,” it is also clearly labeled “Relaxer Medium/Normal,” indicating that it contains a hair relaxer rather than a food product.

The viral video shows the man lying on a hospital bed with visibly swollen eyes, while onlookers claim he was receiving medical treatment after ingesting the chemical.

Although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently verified, social media users alleged that he was hospitalized to help counter the effects of the substance.

The clip has since generated widespread debate online, with many users questioning how the product could have been mistaken for food, while others criticized the decision to store a hair relaxer inside a refrigerator.

“Mistakenly?? Huh mistakenly?? A relaxer can we just cut all this nonsense crap. Does this annoying guy have a functioning brain at all? He doesn’t know what relaxer smells like? What the f**k?”

    Oscar commented:

And his lips, tongue and inner mouth are not swollen. He’s talking, meaning he can still swallow at least saliva. Make una leave me ohhh.”

    Jericho added:

Does it mean that his sense organs aren’t working? Because the smell of relaxer is different from that of ice cream, so I don’t believe this.”

    ToluEsther joked:

Bro was expecting vanilla ice cream and got ‘extra straight’ instead. Somebody check on his tongue.”

    Nyamisaac questioned:

Why will a relaxer be kept inside the fridge? Does that make sense? For what purpose?”
