A sermon delivered by Reverend Mike Babatunde at Oritamefa Baptist Church in Ibadan has sparked widespread reactions on social media, following his candid remarks on marriage and intimacy.

During his message to married couples, the cleric spoke on the role of physical closeness in sustaining relationships, making a controversial statement about a woman’s body within marriage.

He asserted that a woman’s breast primarily belongs to her husband, describing children as temporary beneficiaries.

You who are married, your breasts belong to your husband, not the children. The children are just borrowing them. The real owner of your breast is your husband,” he said.

Rev. Babatunde also criticised what he described as a growing reluctance among some married women to engage in physical intimacy due to concerns about maintaining their body shape.

You know, I see women, some women say, ‘Ah no, Daddy, I won’t let him touch them because I don’t want to lose my shape,’” he stated.

He stressed that such attitudes could affect marital harmony, noting that physical affection plays a key role in strengthening emotional bonds between spouses.

The pastor further urged couples to embrace intimacy without hesitation, adding that some women often pretend not to understand their husbands’ advances despite clear intentions.

God asked him to touch your breast,” he concluded.

The sermon has since generated mixed reactions online, with many debating the appropriateness and interpretation of his comments within modern marriage dynamics.
