    What began as an effort by the Broward College Board of Trustees to remove President Torey Alston has ended with a $430,000 settlement agreement, the dismissal of Alston’s lawsuit and internal complaint, mutual releases of potential claims and growing questions within Broward County’s Black community about the treatment of Black leadership.
