Swatch and OMEGA released the MoonSwatch Mission to the Sun – Solar Eclipse as a Spain‑exclusive one‑day drop on August 12, 2026.Features include a black Bioceramic pusher, new‑moon caseback graphic and a white rubber strap.

Swatch and OMEGA quietly released a location-exclusive MoonSwatch, dubbed the Mission to the Sun - Solar Eclipse. The timepiece was available exclusively in Spain for a single day, coinciding with the total solar eclipse that swept across the Northern Hemisphere on August 12, 2026.Building on the foundation of the core yellow Mission to the Sun silhouette, the Solar Eclipse edition introduces subtle yet intentional thematic details that nod to the celestial event. The defining design tweak sits right at 2 o’clock, where a single black Bioceramic chronograph pusher replaces the standard yellow component, cleverly referencing the Moon stepping in front of the Sun.The reverse side continues this astronomical theme with a new-moon graphic printed across the case back's battery cover, reflecting the exact lunar phase that enables a total eclipse. While the watch retains its classic 42mm Bioceramic case dimensions, quartz movement, and signature "Dot Over Ninety" (DON) tachymeter bezel, it updates the overall wrist feel with a soft white rubber strap fitted with a VELCRO® closure and a Bioceramic loop. On its underside, the strap features a textured surface in a matching sun-yellow hue designed to emulate the craters of the lunar surface. The release strategy mirrored the fleeting nature of the eclipse itself, restricting sales exclusively to Spain for a 24‑hour window. Residents could order the watch through the official online store, while physical allocations were limited to select boutiques in Bilbao, Ibiza and Valencia. To extend reach, a mobile “Rolling Planet” pop‑up vehicle also toured León, offering fans a chance to secure the Solar Eclipse edition during its brief appearance.
