Gunna just landed a major new role with Under Armour, stepping in as global brand ambassador and creative director of P-Star. It’s by far his biggest move yet outside of music.

The partnership puts him directly inside Under Armour’s creative process, with a focus on fitness, wellness, and community work across an international scale. CEO Kevin Plank pointed to Gunna’s personal discipline and drive as the reason the deal made sense. Tying it back to the run clubs and movement-focused community he’s already built around himself.

Gunna previously fronted the brand’s We Are Football campaign, along with a more recent Bouncy Tee push alongside country artist Parker McCollum. The brand has also backed his Wunna Run 5K series and Wunna Warriors, his high school football program.

This announcement is just the starting point for P-Star as a platform. A Wunna Run capsule is planned for early 2027, opening that experience up to the public for the first time. A higher- end line, P-Star Lux, is expected to follow by Summer 2027.

For a rapper who’s already built serious footwear credibility through past sneaker moments, this deal gives Gunna a creative stake in a major performance brand.

    Gunna x Under Armour

Gunna’s move continues a growing trend of rappers stepping into legitimate creative roles at major sportswear brands. It pushes past rapper just fronting a single campaign.

Under Armour in particular has leaned into that space recently. They’ve been mixing athletes with cultural figures who bring their own built-in community. Gunna’s run clubs and football program already gave him that foundation before this deal even happened.

Multiple past campaigns show this wasn’t a first-time pairing, but a relationship that’s clearly been building over time. With music still his main focus, this new role adds another layer to Gunna’s public identity.

For sneakerheads and streetwear fans watching his moves, it’s one more sign he’s building something that outside of the studio. As stars like Gunna continue to push the boundaries past music, it will be interesting to see what new projects surface in the coming months.
