The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has launched its Jamaica Summer Vibes 2026 campaign, a destination-wide initiative running through Aug. 31, 2026, celebrating the island’s vibrant lineup of summer festivals, sporting events, cultural celebrations, culinary experiences and entertainment offerings. JTB said on Wednesday, July 8, that Jamaica Summer Vibes encourages travelers from around the world to explore the destination's iconic beaches, attractions, nightlife, and local communities, “creating a complete destination experience that extends beyond any single festival or celebration.” “Summer in Jamaica is unlike anywhere else in the world,” said Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett. “From world-class sporting events and internationally renowned festivals to our rich cultural celebrations and culinary traditions, Jamaica offers travelers an opportunity to experience the very best of the Caribbean. “Through the Jamaica Summer Vibes campaign, we are inviting visitors to be part of these unforgettable moments and create memories that will last a lifetime,” he added. JTB said the campaign highlights Jamaica's dynamic summer calendar, including: A Taste of Reggae Sumfest, Ocho Rios (July 18); Dream Weekend, Montego Bay (July 30–Aug. 3); Best Weekend Ever (Aug. 6-10); MoBay Jerk & Food Festival, Montego Bay (Aug. 1); Come Alive Collective Worship Event, Kingston (Aug. 1); Emancipation Day Celebrations (Aug. 1); Independence Day Celebrations (Aug. 6); and Best Weekend Ever, Ocho Rios (Aug. 6–10). Others are: Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Cricket, Kingston (Aug. 11–18); AnimeCom Fest, Kingston (Aug. 15–16); Pan American Men’s Lacrosse Championship, Kingston (Aug. 16–23); Amalgamation: The Global Gala, Kingston (Aug. 28–30); and Lover's Leap Lighthouse Series, South Coast (Aug. 28). “Jamaica comes alive during the summer months,” said JTB Director of Tourism Donovan White. “Whether you're dancing at a music festival, cheering on athletes, enjoying authentic Jamaican cuisine, discovering cultural traditions, or simply relaxing on one of our beautiful beaches, there's an energy here that visitors can only truly understand by experiencing it firsthand. “This campaign captures that spirit and invites travelers to make Jamaica part of their summer story,” he added. JTB said at the heart of the campaign is the hero destination film, “This Could Be Your Summer,” a cinematic showcase of Jamaica's people, places and experiences. JTB said travelers can learn more about Jamaica Summer Vibes 2026, explore event details, explore special offers, and begin planning their summer getaway at www.visitjamaica.com/summervibes.
