    The Brooklyn-based West Indian American Day Carnival Association, Inc. (WIADCA), organizer of arguably the largest carnival parade in North America, announced on Friday, June 20, that registration is now open for vendors and volunteers participating in the 59th Annual New York Caribbean Carnival Week 2026. WIADCA said Carnival Week 2026 runs from Sept. 3–7, culminating with the iconic New York Carnival Parade on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 along one of Brooklyn’s larger thoroughfares, Eastern Parkway.  Celebrating under the theme, “M.A.S (Music, Action, Soul), Enjoy the Rhythm, Feel the MASS,” WIADCA said New York Caribbean Carnival Week continues its “longstanding mission of preserving and promoting Caribbean culture through music, art, food, costume, steelpan, entrepreneurship, partnership and community engagement.” WIADCA urged businesses, entrepreneurs, restaurants, food vendors, artisans, and community organizations to participate in “one of New York City’s largest cultural celebrations along the parade route on Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY.” “Vendors — secure your space and showcase your products, services, and entrepreneurship,” WIADCA said. “Our vendors and volunteers are the foundation of our organization.  “Without your dedication, partnership, and commitment, we would not be able to continue presenting these meaningful cultural experiences for our community,” it added.  Vendor inquiries can be made via email at vending@wiadcacarnival.org,  or call 718-467-1797.  General registration runs unitl Aug. 28, 2026.  WIADCA is also seeking dedicated volunteers to support “the many programs, activities, and community initiatives that make Carnival Week a world-renowned cultural experience.” Volunteer opportunities include weekday and evening opportunities, weekend activities and Carnival Week events.  WIADCA said volunteers will receive banded WIADCA volunteer T-shirt and training, and “an opportunity to contribute to a historic cultural legacy.” Volunteers must be 18 years or older, with a passion for community service and commitment to Caribbean culture, WIADCA said.  “Volunteers — sign up, get your assignments, and be part of the team that helps bring our events to life,” it said.  Interested community members may register at www.carnival.nyc or email volunteers@wiadcacarnival.org WIADCA said among other spectacular events taking place during New York Carnival Week 2026 are the Junior Carnival Parade on Saturday, Sept. 5, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; and the grand Labor Day Carnival Parade on Monday, Sept. 7, from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
