The residency opens October 8 and 9 with performances from The Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, and Deitrick Haddon. The lineup brings together three generations of gospel stars whose music has helped define the genre. The Clark Sisters and Hammond recently reunited with Kirk Franklin for the successful Reunion Tour, while Hammond continues to be celebrated for both his acclaimed solo career and his groundbreaking work as a member of the pioneering gospel group Commissioned. Haddon, meanwhile, has spent more than two decades pushing the genre forward by blending traditional gospel with contemporary R&B and hip-hop.

Rather than serving as a one-time event, the October shows are intended to kick off an ongoing series, with additional artists and dates expected to be announced.

“Gospel has never had a true home on the Las Vegas Strip—until now,” Neal Carter, spokesperson for IKON Presents, said in a statement. He credited Carter’s vision and relationships throughout the industry with helping bring the residency to life.

The effort is being led by Dr. Holly Carter, president and CEO of Relévé Entertainment. Over the past two decades, Carter has become one of gospel entertainment’s most influential producers, with credits including The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, the record-breaking Lifetime biopic, and the annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Through film, television, and live events, she’s helped bring gospel music to bigger stages while championing faith-based storytelling.

For Carter, the announcement marks the realization of a vision she’s had for years.

“For years, I have envisioned bringing Gospel to Las Vegas on this scale,” she said. “To now unite legendary artists in a groundbreaking residency is more than a milestone, it’s a moment. And I thank God for it. I finally get to fully step into my creativity and bring this vision to life.”

Keesha Brickhouse, head of production at Relévé Entertainment and producer of the show, called the residency “a historic moment” for the genre.

“Producing the first Gospel residency in more than 60 years is an incredible honor,” Brickhouse said. “It’s redefining what’s possible for Gospel music, and I’m excited to be a part of this historic moment.”

While Las Vegas has long been known for hosting residencies from some of music’s biggest stars, dedicated gospel productions have largely been absent from the Strip. Organizers hope Legends of Gospel changes that by creating a recurring destination for both longtime gospel fans and visitors looking to experience the genre in one of the country’s entertainment capitals.
